Robert 'Bob' Carl, Sr.

Robert “Bob” Carl, Sr., 86, of Toledo, OH, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Vibrant Life, Temperance, MI. Born June 10, 1931, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Clarence A. and Loma I. (Adams) Carl. Bob was a US Army veteran, receiving the purple heart during the Korean War. He married Elizabeth “Juanita” Nalley on March 2, 1953. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2016. Bob was employed for Conrail railroad for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed Notre Dame Football, fishing, golfing, but most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving children, Deborah (Danny) Freeman, Robert (Joan) Carl, Jr. and Patricia (Robert) Hendrickson, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Richard H. Carl and sister, Anne Eisenbrandt.
